2021 Ford Mustang

The 2021 Mustang is available in 10 trim levels: EcoBoost Fastback, EcoBoost Premium Fastback, EcoBoost Convertible, EcoBoost Premium Convertible, GT Fastback, GT Premium Convertible, GT Premium Fastback, Mach 1, Mach 1 Premium, and Shelby GT500. It has a sculpted hood with vents and a prominent, oval grille with the Mustang pony in the center, or you can choose the Shelby GT500 for a cobra instead. Standard features include LED headlights and taillights, 17-inch wheels, dual exhaust, automatic high beams, and manually-folding power side mirrors. You can also add fog lights, 18-, 19-, or 20-inch wheels, red Brembo brake calipers, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and heated, manually-folding power side mirrors with puddle lights, turn signals, and memory settings.

The four-cylinder, 2.3-liter, turbocharged EcoBoost engine produces 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. A 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters is available. With the optional High Performance Package, you can get 332 horsepower. Choose the GT model for a 5.0-liter V-8 that gives 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Mach 1 trims have similar V-8 motors that generate 480 horsepower. The Shelby GT500's 5.2-liter, supercharged V-8 provides 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque, and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission controls it.

This car is responsive, maneuverable, and fun to drive. It has an independent suspension and power steering with Normal, Comfort, and Sport modes. With performance exhaust, you can choose Quiet Start, Sport, Normal, or Track driving modes. You can also add Track, Snow/Wet, Normal, Sport, and Drag Strip modes. An engine block heater, an oil cooler, and a MagneRide Damping System that can make up to 1,000 adjustments per second for a smooth ride are optional as well. The Mach 1 can go 168 mph, and the Shelby GT500's top speed is 186 mph.

The Mustang comes with a variety of convenient features, including active noise cancellation, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, push-button start, and cruise and audio controls on a leather-wrapped steering wheel. You'll also get a six-speaker sound system, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and folding rear seats. You can choose dual-zone climate control, remote start, a nine-speaker sound system with an amplifier, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, and a six-way power driver's seat with lumbar settings. Additional options include ambient lighting, a universal garage door opener, heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 12-speaker audio system. You can also add a 12-inch driver instrument cluster with Sport, Normal, and Track views. The MyColor system lets you match the color scheme to your mood.

This vehicle has sophisticated safety features, including an anti-theft system with an alarm, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, a rearview camera, and a post-crash alert system. You can select adaptive cruise control as well.
